Iowa State University in Ames Hosts Presidential Candidate Town Hall

Presidential candidate Ryan Binkley shares his vision and plays basketball with the locals nearly a month after completing the Full Grassley Tour of all 99 counties in Iowa

AMES, IOWA (December 6, 2023)–Students, voters and other members of the public are posing tough questions to presidential candidate Ryan Binkley tonight at Iowa State University, followed by Binkley joining a fun pick-up game of basketball at the Ames Community Center.

“I feel called to share this message that it’s time for America to turn back to God,” Binkley said. “We have abandoned wisdom. We need a way to have financial prosperity, to have safety in our nation again, to have a nation where the most hurting are looked after. I feel more empowered than ever to share this message, even as others have dropped out of this race. There’s a difference between a burden and a call.”

“Presidential Candidate Event: A Conversation with Ryan Binkley” starts at 6 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the Iowa State University Memorial Union, 2229 Lincoln Way, Ames, IA 50011. After the forum at 7:30 p.m., Binkley will join local athletes, students and others to shoot hoops at the Community Center, 515 Clark Ave., Ames, IA 50010. The public is invited to attend both events.

“We’re trying to reach out to college students. The Republicans have not done a good job of that. Our message should resonate regardless of your age,” Binkley said. “America is in desperate need of an economic revival and a heartfelt spiritual revival. We’ve never been this divided. If we don’t come together to solve our biggest problems, we’re going to be in a lot of trouble. That’s why I’m running – for the next generation.”

Binkley launched his campaign in April and became the first 2024 presidential candidate to visit all 99 counties in Iowa last month, which was celebrated by Donald Trump’s campaign. More than 81,000 unique donors have contributed to Binkley’s grassroots campaign. Binkley is devoting the time, money and resources to appear on the primary ballot in all 50 states and five  U.S. territories at a cost of more than $600,000 in filing fees.

Binkley is co-founder and CEO of mergers and acquisitions firm Generational Group and co-founder and lead pastor of Create Church, both in the Dallas area. As an expert in finance, Binkley is introducing a new economic approach through his campaign proposals to secure the border, balance the budget, and reform healthcare.

Binkley’s inspiring rise to success embodies a classic American entrepreneur story with a twist. Binkley got his MBA and intended to devote his career to business until he met his future wife at Victory Church in Georgia and took a mission trip that changed his life. He switched his focus to a career in ministry until several years later when his brother was killed by a drunk driver, and he and his wife, Elllie, moved to his hometown of Dallas to help his father run the family business. He later co-founded a new mergers and acquisitions business, which has grown to nearly 400 employees through 16 offices in North America and sold over 8 billion dollars’ worth of businesses.

Members of the media are invited to follow Binkley on the campaign trail, view his online press kit, and schedule a one-on-one interview by contacting his campaign press office at press@Binkley2024.com or 214-494-1792.
