FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

COLUMBUS, GA (June 9, 2023) – In a state where the Republican party is fractured by ideological differences, presidential candidate Ryan Binkley is highlighting his campaign theme of unity in his upcoming speech at the Taste of the South Reception and Dinner during the state GOP convention Saturday.

“Our leaders have brought us to a place of division and paralysis by convincing us that we have more to fear from each other than anything else. I think we can all agree that we will not always agree. But what we can do is focus on those things that bring us together instead of those that tear us apart,” said Binkley, a businessman and pastor in Dallas who was born in Columbus, Ga., and lived in Alpharetta many years. “The problems we face, and the blame we lay, can all be rectified if we look to God, find the good in our fellow Americans, and resolve to trust each other one more time.”

Binkley’s wife, Ellie, immigrated to Carrollton, Ga., with her family from South Korea at the age of 6. After Ryan and Ellie tied the knot at Victory World Church in Norcross, Ga., where they met, the couple served as staff pastors at the church. The Binkleys worked as directors of a young adult ministry school and directors of the Metro Atlanta Masters Commission.

After Ryan’s older brother, Hal, was killed by a drunk driver, the Binkleys relocated to the Dallas area to help Ryan’s father run the family business. Ryan later became co-founder and CEO of Generational Group, a Dallas-based mergers and acquisitions firm that has grown to nearly 400 employees with 16 offices in North America and has sold over 8 billion dollars’ worth of businesses.

Ryan and Ellie founded Create Church in the Dallas area to care for all members of the community through teaching God’s word, urban missions, food drives, youth ministry, and marriage support. As founder of The Way to Freedom nonprofit, Ryan has united diverse viewpoints to solve our nation’s problems.

The pastor and business leader launched his presidential campaign in Dallas at the end of April; since then, he has made multiple trips to meet with top government officials, party leaders and supporters in Iowa, where Republicans kick off their presidential primaries next year.
