(July 29, 2023)–Republican presidential candidate Ryan Binkley is expanding his campaign outreach into New Hampshire, with his first public event in the state on Tuesday, August 1, at 1:30 pm at the Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and the Social Sciences at Dartmouth College, where he will share details about his proposal to start a volunteer tutoring program called S.A.V.E. (Serving and Volunteering in Education).
“America is facing two crises that seem unrelated but are actually connected – the decay of urban communities and the apathy of our youth. We address both problems with one solution – a new national movement of volunteerism,” said Binkley, a businessman and pastor who launched his Republican presidential campaign in April. “We’ll encourage, motivate, and equip America’s youth to take ownership of their communities and make a real difference in the lives of people who are hurting and in need.”
Binkley is now tracking at 1% among registered voters in a new national poll, equal to Asa Hutchinson and Doug Burgum and surpassing four other long-shot candidates (Perry Johnson, Larry Elder, Will Hurd, Francis Suarez). The businessman has spent about $1 million on advertising and about four days a week on the ground for nearly two months in Iowa, and now his campaign is launching a similar blitz in New Hampshire. Binkley is addressing critical issues other Republican candidates are ignoring, from balancing the federal budget and ending healthcare monopolies to securing the border with a comprehensive immigration plan and lifting Americans out of poverty through education.
“If you want to change the world, let’s change the life of a child,” Binkley said. “In urban America today, only about 15% of minorities in eighth grade are at the reading levels where they’re supposed to be. What if we had college students from all over the United States volunteering to serve five hours a week in a classroom to teach younger kids and help them with their reading? I propose we start a volunteer movement in our country that would rival the Peace Corps and bring life, education, and mentorship into our urban communities and schools.”
Ryan is co-founder and CEO of the mergers and acquisitions firm Generational Group. Under his leadership, Generational Group has grown to nearly 400 employees through 16 offices in North America and has sold over 8 billion dollars’ worth of businesses. He and his wife, Ellie, founded Create Church, also in the Dallas area, to care for all members of the community through teaching God’s word, urban missions, food drives, youth ministry, and marriage support. As the founder of The Way to Freedom nonprofit, Binkley has combined the wisdom of a businessman and the heart of a pastor to generate fresh, creative ideas to foster unity and solve our nation’s problems.
